Elberta is a small town of about 550 (as of the 2000 Census) located in Baldwin County, Alabama. Elberta is situated on Highway 98 in Southern Baldwin County between Foley and Pensacola, just 10 miles from the beautiful Gulf beaches in Gulf Shores, Alabama. It was settled a century ago by German farmers and still has an agricultural base. It is convenient to the waters of Wolf Bay and Northern Perdido Bay.

Elberta, a miniature town, offers what its citizens call "the good life." It is the home of the famous Elberta Sausage Festival, which is held in celebration of the town's German Heritage the last Saturday of March and October. The German Sausage Festival includes Elberta's famous German sausage & sauerkraut, entertainment for adults and children, and more than 200 arts & crafts booths.
